I am a creative director for individual clients and agencies. Through this work, I have forged relationships and collaborated with a variety of singularly talented entrepreneurs, writers, directors, stylists, producers and strategists — people who share a passion for storytelling in all mediums.
A large part of my creative process focuses on thoughtful strategy, context and cultural trends. My aim isn’t to produce a singular style, but to guide clients toward a brand voice that that is both forward and appropriate for their business goals.
Minted
I began consulting with Minted during its startup phase, and over the past 7 years, have participated in elevating and evolving the brand both strategically and creatively. One of the pivotal points was to begin embedding the spirit of the crowd-sourced design community into the brand, as a way to diferentiate Minted from traditional design retailers. Projects include TV, print advertising, brand strategy, social media content, user experience design, and outside agency liaison.

Exploring identity
with SFGirlbybay
When Victoria Smith moved to Los Angeles and began a new chapter in her creative life, she reached out for help to evolve her site and create a new brand for her online shop. Supermarché mixes French refinement with LA quirk, and gives her audience a fresh look at the daily world of design.

Bra startup Evelyn and Bobbie
The revolutionary EB started as the bra design obsession of founder Bree McKeen. I worked with Bree and her creative director in the early stages of the brand— helping to shape the look, feel and photogaphic expression for film,
web and social media.

Logo for the Locationist
Rosy Fridman, a highly sought-after stylist in San Francisco, is working to launch her new venture in curated location services. I worked with Rosy to translate her vision (think Garance Doré) into the beginnings of an identity system.
Makeshift Society collaboration
I worked closely with Rena Tom in the launch the Makeshift Society, a creative co-working and event space in San Francisco— Developing a look and feel, and brainstorming ways to engage this young community.
Brand Narrative Vmware
VMware is a pioneer of the cloud computing space. At a time when there was little to no awareness of this technology, we developed a range of ways to communicate this new concept of accessing and managing data.
Art Direction Northstar Resorts
Print and outdoor advertising for the “A good day” campaign, I worked with the Eleven Creative team to art direct on-resort photography and design.

Business and brand creation:
The Beholder
In 2005, I created The Beholder, one of the first original online marketplaces in the U.S. that offered a curated collection of emerging contemporary art. It became the forerunner for the now expansive global affordable art prints market. Many of the artists I worked with early in their career have gone on to be represented in top-tier galleries and have forged their own successful businesses: Corey Arnold, Michelle Blade, Klea McKenna, Serena Mitnik-Miller, Leigh Wells, Lisa Solomon, and Lisa Congdon.
Product Marketing for Avid
I worked along side the Avid internal creative group to extend and execute a brand redesign done by The Brand Union. We were tasked with simplifying the customer experience and creating a cohesive feel across the entire brand, despite quite different product categories and specialized consumers.
Motion Graphics for Ford
When developing a new campaign for the Ford Escape, Team Detroit creative director Doug Patterson asked me to develop a few new animated devices that could support their concept.
Further Afield
My experience reaches across a wide range of company sizes and sectors: Packaged goods, heavy construction, banking, technology, retail, interiors, and gaming. Many more work samples are available upon request. Let me know what you are seeking and I can put a custom package together.
